Individual Country Zones Now Available
November 12th, 2007 by bacsAs well as the all-in-one country zone (country.georbl.info), every country is now available as a separate dnsbl zone. These are of the form XX.country.georbl.info
, where XX is the two-letter IANA country code. A result of 127.0.0.2 indicates the IP is allocated to that country.
eg. For Great Britain a successful lookup would be:
$ dig 33.162.16.89.gb.country.georbl.info ; <<>> DiG 9.4.1-P1 <<>> 33.162.16.89.gb.country.georbl.info ;; global options: printcmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 32702 ;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 1 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;33.162.16.89.gb.country.georbl.info.
