dnsbl providing ip to country resolution

Individual Country Zones Now Available

November 12th, 2007 by bacs

As well as the all-in-one country zone (country.georbl.info), every country is now available as a separate dnsbl zone. These are of the form XX.country.georbl.info, where XX is the two-letter IANA country code. A result of 127.0.0.2 indicates the IP is allocated to that country.

eg. For Great Britain a successful lookup would be:

$ dig 33.162.16.89.gb.country.georbl.info

; <<>> DiG 9.4.1-P1 <<>> 33.162.16.89.gb.country.georbl.info
